A Landing Page is typically an entrance page of a web site where traffic is directed from external sources, such as advertising campaigns from Pay-Per-Click, Banner Ads, or any other advertising campaigns.
The Landing Page usually contains the "pitch" to the site visitor to persuade them to perform a specific Conversion Action such as purchasing a product, signing up for a newsletter, or signing up for a service.
