Cut and Paste refers to functionality which allows a person to move information between desktop applications.

Cutting content deletes whatever the user has selected, and places it on the Clipboard.

Cut differs from Copy in that it removes or deletes the selected content and places it on the clipboard. In short, Cut is destructive, Copy is not.

See Copy and Paste.
