NAT

Acronym. Network Address Ttranslation. A Router or Firewall will often convert internal IP addresses to external IP addresses in a transitive manner between two hosts which can support hundreds or even thousands of individual users to appear as a single IP Address.

Most home and business Routers support NAT to support many devices which then appear as a single IP Address to remote hosts.
