Mobile Password Safe allows you to store your user name and password information, or any private information, on the web, safely.

How do I back up my passwords?

  1. Visit your password home page, but do not enter your password.
  2. Select Save Page As... from the File menu.
  3. At the bottom of the dialog that appears, make sure that Web Page, complete appears.
  4. Save the page to a new folder or somewhere you want to back up your data.
  5. Browse to the folder in the Finder and open the Mobile Password Safe - Your Name file.
  6. Enter your password and browse your database!

Can I depend on my data being available?

How do I know my data is secure?

  • All of your password data is downloaded encrypted, to your web browser. We don't have a copy of it in plain text.
  • When you enter your password on the page, it decrypts your data in your web browser only. When you add new data, it is sent to us already encrypted.
  • Add SSL to the equation, and the data is encrypted twice if anyone is looking at it.
  • If you lose your password, then you will lose all of your data in our database. Sorry.
