Mac OS is the primary operating system developed by Apple, Inc. and installed on desktop systems sold by Apple, Inc..

It is also known as Mac OS X but was renamed without the X in 2016 to align naming and versioning along with iOS and watchOS.

The desktop browser installed by default on MacOS is Safari, however Google Chrome and Firefox all run on MacOS devices.
